Term 3 2020
We hope this finds you well and taking care.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and Department of Education and Training (DET) guidance, all community programs and events have been postponed. These restrictions mean that we were unable to have visitors to the school. We hope in Term 3 that restrictions will ease. We tentatively propose the following Calendar of Events for Term 3 and will keep you abreast of the changes in regards to school onsite access.
We are looking forward to welcoming parents and guardians to our newly furnished community space. The red brick building near the bus zone is home to the Positive Climate for Learning Team and two community spaces. The first space is for planning sessions and also informal and social gatherings. The second is a learning space for families, parents and guardians. We are looking forward to working with the community to help us create these spaces to be warm and welcoming for all who visit.
Calendar of Events
Based on parent/guardian feedback from the School Review and suggestions made at various forums, we have an exciting series of gatherings planned for this term. We encourage parents, guardians and families to actively support student engagement and learning. Opportunities to do so will depend on the needs of the school and the interests and skills of the school community.
Week 3 – Open Morning Teas
Members of the Positive Climate for Learning Team hope that restrictions have eased so that we can welcome you to a series of morning teas over this week. We will be sharing ideas about possibilities for participation in our school community. We will also be asking you to identify skills and interests you may be able to offer and what you would like to learn more about. Invitations will be sent out when we have confirmation from DET that we can go ahead. Light refreshments will be provided.
