Learning at Home – Edition 2
We’re in this together
Dear Parents, Guardians and Families,
We hope this finds you all safe and well and welcome to Week 2 of Learning at Home! I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support in transitioning to Learning at Home and I am just so impressed and excited to get onto Seesaw each day and see the work that has been planned by teachers and the levels of student and parent engagement, hear about the phone calls celebrating successes and receiving emails asking learning and support questions.
We also completely understand that the current situation creates many challenges and that Learning at Home for some is extremely difficult and we appreciate that many of you may be juggling working from home commitments. We want you to be kind to yourselves, do what you can when you can and if that is too difficult its ok.
As stated in the letter from Jenny Atta Secretary of Education, uploaded to Seesaw and SchoolStream on the 15th April, ‘In order to protect the health and safety of your children, your family, your teachers and the whole community, it is important that you follow the Victorian Government’s direction and keep your child learning at home this term. On-site school attendance is available as a last resort where parents and carers are not able to put in place arrangements to supervise children at home. Please contact the school if you have any queries regarding this.
I will be sending a Learning at Home communication every Monday uploaded onto Seesaw and School Stream with information for you.
Please continue to be kind to yourselves and remember some days will work better than others. We are here to support you, so let us know if there is anything you need
Stay safe and healthy.
If you don’t have access to an iPad or need access to the internet via a dongle, please let us know and we will endeavor to support this. Please email [email protected]

If you get the opportunity, please upload photo’s, video or completed work your children have done so we can see and comment on their learning.
We are required to mark student attendance daily. Teachers will be sending a morning message daily through Seesaw, please ‘like’ or comment on this message to confirm attendance. If your child is unwell, please message through Seesaw to let us know so the roll can be marked accordingly.
Communication to families will be provided through Seesaw App on the focus learning activities for the week. Please make sure that you also regularly check Seesaw and School Stream for general updates.
If you wish to communicate with your child’s teacher about their learning, this can be done through Seesaw. Teachers will only reply during school hours.
