Term 3 Newsletter No1 – 15th July 2021

Leadership

Welcome to Term 3!

We hope you are all healthy and well and enjoyed spending time together during the school holidays. It has been a highlight of ours to greet the students, staff and families this week and everyone has enthusiastically returned to school. The students have transitioned into classes really well and have shown us their eagerness to engage in learning while getting back into school routines.

This term brings another cold term of weather with many weeks of wind, cold temperatures and rain. Please ensure that your child has enough warm clothing and a warm jacket/coat so that they can play outside and enjoy their movement breaks. We will implement a wet weather timetable if it is raining during play times and in this instance the students will have their breaks inside their classrooms.

In our latest COVID-19 update from the DET staff are now required to wear facemasks at school indoors unless engaged in the act of teaching and are not required outdoors unless unable to maintain 1.5m physical distancing. External visitors to our school are required to wear a facemask.

All going well, we hope you will be able to join us onsite at school this term for parent forums. Upcoming dates for forums and events will be posted in future newsletters.

A reminder that Seesaw is our app based platform that we use at school as a way for teachers and students to record and share what learning occurs in the classroom. If you are not connected to Seesaw please contact your child’s teacher and they can support you in setting this up.

Term 3 is another 10 week term with many important dates. These are also included on your fridge magnet that you received at the start of the school year.
