It has been a great start to the 2021 school year at Sunshine Special Developmental School. Term 1, thus far has been very exciting and the staff and students have settled into their new classes with enthusiasm and zest for learning.
This year, we have 12 Secondary classes with a total of 89 students. We welcome 3 new secondary teachers Jason Hall, Alex de la Rambelje and Rachele Ciappara. Plus, two new education support staff Joelyna Siploc and Manjeet Kaur
This term, the staff are building relationships with the students in their classroom and around the school while supporting students to learn about the expectations of school. We have been enjoying being in classrooms supporting staff and students to set their learning environments up to meet the learning needs for every student.
This year, Jo Kelly will be working with secondary staff and students in S1, S2, S3, and S4 and also the primary staff and students in P8, P9, P10, and P12. Esme will be working with secondary staff and students in classes S5 through to S12.
As Learning Leaders, we work collaboratively with one another and the school community, so please don’t hesitate to call either one of us. We thank you for being an amazing and supportive community and we both look forward to another year working with you all.
