Primary Learning Centre

It has been fantastic to see all the students return to school after the Easter holidays feeling refreshed and ready to engage in their learning. The students have transitioned back really well and demonstrated their eagerness to participate in a variety of teaching and learning programs. This term the students will continue working towards achieving their individual learning goals.

Last week the Primary students were fortunate to participate in the Swimming program. This is a fantastic opportunity for the students to develop their confidence in the water, learn to be around others in the water and begin to develop their swimming skills. Robyn G, the PE teacher, organised a great program for the students. Most of the students in Primary participated in their program and attended Sunshine Leisure Centre, swimming every day of the week. The students were all really tired by Friday but had a great time attending swimming. Teachers have been using photos and videos taken of the students at swimming to be used as part of students learning at school this week. Students have been using these photos and videos to write recounts, identify what they can see in the photos and to learn about the emotions that students are displaying. Photos of swimming have been uploaded to Seesaw. Most students enjoy looking at photos of themselves, so please have a look at these with your child, as this helps to build a connection between home and school.
